Pros Very clean and nicely set out. The rooms were spacious and well decorated. The kitchen was similarly spacious and very well fitted out. It was a nice touch to have the fruit bowl and essentials like fruit, bread, water, jams and butter provided. The staff were friendly and the security sataff helpful at all times. In most respects, particularly the location, I was very pleased.
Cons The cost of a can of soft drink (fanta) at the pool bar, presented in an unopened can for 3 euros, was extortionate. At the Casa do Lago where we went for lunch the cost of the same fanta, but this time presented in a tall glass with a slice of orange and an cocktail umbrella was 2.50 euros. Unfortunately this kind of thing sours the taste of a stay and made me reluctant to want to use the Encosta do Lago facillities as I got the feeling that I was being penalised for being a captive audience. As a result because I had a car I was not tempted to use the restaurant facillities (I think I was not alone) which may have been very nice. I just don't like to think I am getting ripped off and your soft drink prices I'm afraid were bordering on the ridiculous. In a perfect world I would have liked the option of having wi-fi in my villa or at least a wired connection. The lack of wi-fi availablity would compromise my decision to stay again. It would have been nice to have tv's in all bedrooms not just 2 of the 3. Apart from that my only complaint would be the safety netting around the tennis courts. The mesh was lifted all along the back so that virtually every ball that went behind the player went out of court and we had to frequently go out of the resort centre to retrieve the balls.

The house is nice.
We just saw the personal 5 minutes, and it wasn´t nice at all, really anoying. We had paid for a garden and instead of grass it had SAND!!!The rooms were not done everyday and they just made beds, not clean at all. There were ants in the house. Just changed towels 1 day out of 5. Really expensive for the service you get. No recepcion at all, you couldn´t tell your needes to anybody.

With an excellent location; Inside the > natural park, near the lake and not far from a natural wonderful beach. Very well equipped apartment, very relaxing, with a modern design in which we feel very well. Surrounded by nature with plenty of small birds in the gardens, the right place to stay in Algarve.

I enjoyed the spacious two-bedroom apartment that provided an excellent base for my stay. The complex featured a lovely swimming pool, often quiet and peaceful, meaning I could relax without any crowds. Delivering fresh bread each morning was a good touch, made every breakfast special. The location was perfect. Close to the lake and just a short taxi ride to some great local restaurants and a well-stocked supermarket.

Fresh bread service each morning added a thoughtful touch.
The entire resort feels dated. The pool area could use a refresh to match the premium price tag. On top of that, reception hours are limited. Many units lacked basic utensils, like corkscrews or scissors, which would have made cooking simpler, especially without a nearby supermarket. Plus, the absence of grocery options within walking distance left us relying on a car for essentials.

I had a fab week in a lovely modern 2-bedroom apartment at encosta do lago. The place was super spacious and seemed like home, especially with the comfy lounge area and fresh bread rolls every morning-such a nice touch! The pool was awesome, and since it wasn't busy, we pretty much had it to ourselves. The staff were really friendly too, always ready to help. It was a chill and relaxing stay!

We had a lovely week enjoying fresh bread rolls every morning and the well-sized private garden, but it was a bit inconvenient with limited reception hours.
